The Junkers L55 engine at the Aviation Museum in Cracow is a high altitude engine, which originally powered the Junkers Ju49 altitude Research aircraft. The engine was exhibited since the late 30s at the Deutsche Luftfahrtsammlung in Berlin and was transfered to Poland in 1943, where it was stored for years.
