Junkers Mo8
Six Cylinder, Diesel Engine, horizontal, developed 1916, 350hprs
The Mo 8 was a further developement of the Mo 3 test engine. It's developement was started in spring 1916 at Aachen and construction was finished in summer 1916 at Jumo Magdeburg. It was the first engine with a fuel injection. A major problem of this test engine was a structural thermal extension, which did not satisfy the Versuchsanstalt at Aachen. Therefore the Mo 8 studies were soon stopped.
